9.5 BRIEFING OF COUNSEL
- Legal representatives must ensure that counsel are briefed timeously to
enable counsel to file practice notes and short heads of argument and to
generally comply with the requirements of the practice manual in respect
of the motion court.
- The fact that counsel has not been briefed timeously will normally not
be accepted as a reasonable explanation for the failure of counsel to comply
with the requirements of the practice manual.
